Dorus De Vries believes Wolves will kick off pre-season with a desire to look forwards rather than back ahead of the return to the Championship.
The keeper is confident the team will be able to avoid any lingering negativity, following last season's relegation, by quickly getting to work with a positive outlook.
That begins today, with the majority of the squad checking back in after 3 days of fitness testing last week.
He said, "I don't think anyone ever looks forward to the testing which we did over 3 days last week, but it's good to see the guys again.
We've got a new manager and coach who we've met and, for me, it's particularly good to see the goalkeeping coach again and the other keepers.
From today, pre-season really gets underway and you know then that the season isn't far off and you have to come back and be positive. If you think too much about last season and the disappointment, it all drags on. We can't let that happen. This is a new season and we are in a different league. We're all thinking about trying to have a great season, rather than anything that has happened before. Let's kick on and leave the past behind and look forward to the future."
