Boss To Be Hands-On
Ståle Solbakken has revealed he will be a hands-on manager when it comes to life on the training ground, but also wants his staff to take responsibility.
Solbakken has brought in Johan Lange as first team coach to work with him at Molineux, with the remainder of the backroom staff remaining the same.
The boss is also keen to get to know the personalities of his players, but maintaining a professional distance.
He said, "I like to be out on the training pitch. I'll be out on the training pitch every day. Sometimes coaching, sometimes observing. I also like people to take responsibility, it's not me sitting there thinking I know everything. When you have guys around you that have competence I think it's important to use that.
I like to know the players I work with a little bit as people aswell. I like to have them close to me, but also have the professional distance that you want between a manager and the players. It's about having a good relationship with the players without being a friend."
