Johnson Offered Another Chance

Ståle Solbakken has offered Roger Johnson a Wolves lifeline, by giving him the chance to prove himself.

Johnson has looked set to leave, following a terrible debut season which saw him disciplined for turning up to train hungover, which led to being dropped by Terry Connor.

The club are prepared to sell, but there has been no interest in him. However, with Solbakken looking to sign a centre back, he is prepared to wipe the slate clean and give him a fresh chance.

Solbakken said, "I don’t know him any more than anyone else, so everyone has a chance to fight for a place and put things behind them. I’ve heard some stories but I don’t place too much value on them. We will see what happens. It’s up to him. If he wants to fight for Wolves and have his revenge, then that’s a possibility."
